When you have the ability to turn on a tap and enjoy warm water, you don’t truly appreciate it until all that comes out of the tap is icy cold water! There’s nothing quite like a cold shower to be a terrible surprise for your morning, and here at Hall’s Plumbing, we want to be able to prevent those rude-awakening showers. If you see or experience any of the following issues, it could be a red-alert warning that you will have a water heater repair in the near future.
- Age- A water heater, much like other areas of our home, has a certain lifespan. The lifespan of your average home water heater is about 10 years, so if you are nearing that time, then you’re going to need water heater repairs in the near future.
- Neglect- Water heater repairs need maintenance to run smoothly. If your water heater doesn’t get regular maintenance checks, that can be a red flag, especially when combined with the other red alerts.
- Cold water- When your water heater is running and running and the best you are getting from it is lukewarm to cold water, then your water heater is going to be in need of repairs or possibly replacement.
- Leaks- Water heaters need regular monitoring through maintenance. If not, you might not see the leaks that occasionally crop up before water heater repairs.
At Hall’s Plumbing, we want to make sure that water heater repairs are on your radar before they give you cold showers!
